Books and Booze is a different type of literary event. A rotating list of 7-10 indie authors will be present for each event and will do a five minute reading from one of their works. Patrons are welcome to sit down and strike up a conversation with the authors and find out more about their works, process, etc.
Author spotlights will be shared on my Instagram, @bookswithchristopher, in the two weeks preceding the event. I try to get a good mix of genres at each event, so there will be books that will appeal to any type of reader.
New at our last event is the Dragon Egg Lottery. Every food or drink purchase at the bar will garner a raffle ticket. Raffle winners will be allowed to pick a dragon egg that contains discount vouchers, free books, or other freebies. Every egg is a winner, and everyone will get to take home a 3d printed egg with a dragon matching its color.
